Jackie & Luis - Engagement, South Street Sea Port, NYC
Here’s a couple that’s known each other for a long time. I believe Jackie said that they’ve been dating about 14 years or so. Well no more waiting, their wedding is coming up on October 9th. After rescheduling our engagement session once due to the uncooperative weather, we were finally able to pick a good day and decided to begin our shoot at South Street Sea Port, NYC. The weather was just right, nice and breezy. We walked around the area and managed to find some fun places for photos. I love New York for that main reason, no matter what direction you walk, you can always run into something cool or interesting to make the photos more original.

Cristina & Ed - Fairytale Wedding, Lyndhurst Castle, Tarrytown, NY
When I think about a Fairytale Wedding, I think about a castle, a carriage with white horses, a big white ball gown, endless candles, feathers, flowers, etc. You get the idea. Well Cristina and Edward had the same thing in mind when they got married on September 3rd at the Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown, NY. Ever since she was a little girl, Cristina dreamed about having a Cinderella wedding. No details were overlooked.
During our engagement photo session I was told that the wedding was going to be talking place at a castle. But when I actually showed up there in the morning, it took my breath away. I came about 30 minutes early so I was able to walk around and check the place out. The sun was out, the sky was an incredible blue and the birds were chirping. I knew that the day was going to be amazing.
Getting their hair and make up done at the carriage house the girls had a great time, breaking into a dance when a random Beyonce song came up. Then it was time to put on the gown. I always love the moment when everything is finally on and everyone just ‘awwws’. Cristina looked stunning, a true Cinderella.
The ceremony took place at the Rose Garden. While Ed waited nervously at the altar, Christina pulled up with her mom in a white carriage with two gorgeous while horses. The couple read their own vows, the audience was teary eyed, there was a kiss, the lighting of the candles, the rings exchange and another kiss. Beautifully done, followed by more crazy dancing at the reception.
Congratulations Cristina and Edward!!! I had such a great time photographing your Fairytale Wedding.
